Bromyard Speed Festival
The Bromyard Speed Festival returns in 2027 with a refreshed format designed to celebrate the thrill of driving the famous hill while keeping the event enjoyable for the local community.
This special one-day “Hill Climb” event will focus on the driver experience, bringing together a wide range of exciting vehicles for a spectacular day of motoring in the heart of Bromyard.
The Hill
The 2027 event will run on the traditional route from Broadbridge up Burying Lane, climbing toward the Royal Oak on the Bromyard Downs, which will act as the turnaround point for participating vehicles.
Drivers will enjoy the challenge of this iconic stretch of road, with its sweeping bends, elevation changes and fantastic views across the surrounding countryside.
A Driver-Focused Event
For 2027, the event will place a strong emphasis on the experience for drivers, with up to 300 vehicles expected to take part across the day.
The aim is to create a relaxed but exciting environment where drivers can enjoy the hill and showcase their cars in front of enthusiastic crowds.
Vehicles are expected to include:
-
Classic and historic cars
-
Sports and performance cars
-
Competition and rally cars
-
Single seaters and specialist machines
-
Motorcycles and unusual vehicles
We will also be inviting special “star cars” to the event, including rally legends, record-setting machines and iconic competition cars.
Viewing the Hill
Spectators will once again be able to enjoy the action from multiple viewing locations along the course.
Plans are being explored to improve the spectator experience, including:
-
Additional viewing areas along the hill
-
Potential grandstand seating
-
Enhanced access points around the course
Further details will be announced as planning progresses.
Event Location
The event will make use of Hadley’s Field, which will host event facilities and provide additional access for spectators.
This area will include:
-
Food and drink vendors
-
Event facilities and services
-
Areas for visitors and participants to gather between runs
The Royal Oak on the Bromyard Downs will act as a turning point for non-road-legal vehicles and bikes during the event.
Car Clubs Welcome
Car clubs play a key role in making the Bromyard Speed Festival a fantastic event.
We will be working closely with clubs to help them include the festival in their 2027 calendars, and we welcome groups who would like to attend or display vehicles.
If your club would like to be involved, please get in touch.
Sponsors and Partners
The continued success of the event relies on the support of our sponsors and partners.
We will be working with businesses and organisations who wish to support the festival and help us deliver an exciting motoring event for the community.
Opportunities will include event sponsorship, branding, program advertising and on-site engagement.
